Regional Rivalry
Sydney and Melbourne are put under the microscope in our HR Salary Survey, as we put one of the many debates to rest and uncover where HR Professionals earn more money - Sydney or Melbourne.

Sydney vs. Melbourne Salaries - The Truth Behind Who Earns More.

Sydney and Melbourne have participated in a game of friendly rivalry over who's the biggest and brightest for over a century.

Where Melbourne has Southgate, Sydney has Darling Harbour.

Melbourne is home to Little Bourke Street, whilst Sydney houses China Town.

It can be argued that Lygon Street, Melbourne out eats Norton Street of Sydney or that Crown Casino could give Star City a run for its money.

Whether you prefer to place your bets at either The Goldern Slipper or Melbourne Cup, visit Centrepoint over the Rialto, ride the train instead of trams, get your game on at the MCG or SCG, commute at Flinders Street over Central Station or scour through Victoria Markets or Haymarket - the list of comparisons between Australia's two biggest cities only just begins with these.

HR Partners have taken this debate to the 'HR Salary Survey' portal. In the HR salary survey of over 4,500 Australians - 1,700 of them hailing from Sydney, 1,100 from Melbourne, we reveal if location plays a definite role when it comes to what we are paid.
